Weddings at Holy Family Church are in the Extraordinary Form of the Mass and are performed with the beauty of full Gregorian Propers. If you plan on having a wedding here at Holy Family or would like the choir to sing for your wedding in another location, please contact the choir director via contact form below or email: (amanda@developingconcepts.com) between 3-6 months in advance. The more notice we have the better!
We have options for a Full Choir of 15-25 members or a small choir of 6-8 members. Both options have advantages, it depends on what you’re looking for and your budget may play a role in deciding too. Our organist is hired separately.
Typically, the choir will begin singing 30 minutes prior to the ceremony. These may be a mixture of Sacred Hymns, solos, instrumentals or Latin Motets. Plan for 6-10 pieces for this portion of the program.
During the Mass, pieces are sung only in Latin. There are MANY pieces & Mass Settings to choose from. If you have something specific in mind, we are happy to learn new pieces, given we have enough notice. However, if you don’t have a wish list yet, we have a list for you to choose from or if you prefer, leave the music planning to us. Many of the list below can be found on YouTube as a help in deciding if it’s something you might like.
